Community Night: Wednesday Feb 13 Dine to Support Lenox/Morris School PTO @ Chez Nous

Wednesday Nights in January & February, Dine at Chez Nous to Support Organizations Working to Improve Lives in the Berkshires

Each evening will be devoted to a different non-profit organization with 15% of the night’s net profit given directly to support their work in our community

Please join us for our Community Nights this winter. Each week we will partner with a local nonprofit to highlight their cause. While we have always partnered with local organizations with different donations, including cooking classes, Chef for a Day, or gift certificates for dinner, recently we have been thinking about how to integrate our work more directly with the community that has supported us for almost 14 years. We are looking forward to giving back by doing what we do best, feeding people!

Here is what you can do to help: bring your friends and family and enjoy an evening out while supporting a good cause. It’s a great combination. In addition, everyone who attends to support Community Night will have their names entered into a raffle for a chance to win a dinner for 2 at one of our popular wine dinners!

Please mark the following nights on your calendar if you would like to enjoy a delicious meal at Chez Nous and take advantage of this easy opportunity to contribute to some of the community organizations doing important work to strengthen the Berkshires and beyond:

February 13: Lenox PTO(http://www.lenoxps.org/morris/pto/) Promoting communication between students, parents, staff and administation and providing extra special experiences for students!
February 20: Roots Rising(https://www.rootsrising.org/) Hiring local teens to work on farms, food pantries and community gardens and run the Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market!
February 27: Elizabeth Freeman Center(https://www.elizabethfreemancenter.org/) Providing invaluable support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families.

Manger! Boire! Eat! Drink! Thurs Feb. 21, 6:30 pm: Cioppino! @ Chez Nous

We haven’t forgotten about you!  It’s been a really fun February so far, and the way things worked out, we couldn’t do a Manger! Boire! night until this week.  Which means that we owe you a really great menu, and that’s what we’re going to do! Two herbal, fruity and flavorful organic wines from Sicily have inspired a menu which will include a Smoked Duck, Herb & Vegetable Tartare, followed by a seafood stew, Cioppino, and finishing with Florentine Doughnuts and Chocolate Ganache.  All this, including recipes and a cooking demonstration, just $35. exc. tax and tip.  We hope that you can join us for this, the last Manger! Boire! of the winter.  The following week, we will have a delicious Backroads of France Wine Dinner on Saturday, March 2 ( https://cheznousbistro.com/event/wine-dinner-saturday-march-2-backroads-of-france-with-steve-dixon-vineyard-road-spirited for more info), so there will be no MBED.  Then we will be on vacation until April 24 and we’ll see you then!

Before we head out on vacation, we wanted to enjoy one more special night of wine and food with our long-time friend and wine mentor, Steve Dixon.  Tonight’s dinner will take you on a delicious journey through France with a French menu featuring wines from different, lesser-known regions. Vineyard Road is an importer which focuses on rare and fine wines, so be prepared to make some discoveries!

We’re excited to be back from vacation and to prepare a delicious Berkshire Maple Syrup-inspired menu for this coming Thursday night.  We’ll start with a maple-marinated salmon salad, followed by maple-glazed pork loin, and finish with Pudding Chomeur, a warm dessert from Quebec!  As always, delicious wines to pair with the cuisine; wine, food, recipes & a cooking demonstration all for $35!  We hope that you can join us*
